Chloe is completely mobile now! It has been fun to see her crawling around and exploring but we are realizing more and more how much more baby proofing we have to do. She had found the kitchen cabinet with the pots and pans and she loves to pull them out and bang the lids around. Who needs toys when you have a kitchen filled with tupperware, measuring spoons, spatulas, and lids? Those are Chloe's favorites.

bad guys
This story actually starts last Sunday night. The house was quiet and we were all sleeping, when every one was awoke by a loud noise. Bailey starts barking and Jeremy jumps out of bed and grabs a weapon. He and Bailey walk out to the living room and Jeremy looked out the window and saw nothing. He came back to bed and we chalked up the cats wrestling around and thought nothing more. Well the next evening Jeremy is leaving for work and notices the flowers in the flower bed underneath our front window are trampled. He takes a closer look and sees puncture marks in our window screen. He comes back inside to tell me, but decides it is not the time (He was leaving that night and I would have been a wreck!) and instead checks all the windows and tells me to make sure things are locked up tight. When He gets home the next morning he tells me. It looks like they took a screwdriver or something like that and tried to pry the window up and out to bypass the lock ( I thank God we got new windows with awesome locks 2 years ago). So the noise we heard was the bad guys hitting the window with their tool. I am freaked! Why would someone break into our house at night when it is pretty obvious someone is home? Not to mention we have a lighted ADT sign right next to that window and an ADT sticker on that window. My mind is going crazy, and I am convincing Jeremy we are moving. We file a police report and the officer is over at our house soon after. The officer suggests some motion lights but says there is not much else we can do to protect our house. He also assures us that they were probably checking the window for easy access at night when nobody can see them, then they would come back in the day light to the preselected houses. In his many years of experience in this city there has only been one reported instance of a night break in and it was between two druggies. I guess that comforted me. It is hard not to let the fear take over, and that is what I am praying constantly. But I am very thankful nothing happened, the window held up, we have ADT, Bailey barked and that Jeremy was home that night. God worked it all together and we are safe.

zoo
We purchased a season pass to the zoo, so on Wednesday we thought we would start taking advantage of it. Jeremy's mom joined us too. We enjoyed a nice day walking around and a little picnic lunch there. This is our second time to the Denver zoo and it seemed like Chloe was more attentive to the animals. She definitely enjoyed the birds! Even when we were looking at the penguins she was too busy looking at a bird in a tree above. Sweet girl!

9 months
I know I say it every month, but I can't believe it has already been nine months. My baby is getting so big! Every day that goes by she seems more like a little girl then a baby. She's eating like crazy (real food), she talks (we've gotten some momma and dadda in there too), she waves goodby, she dances, and of course there is the other side where she yells at you when you take things away from her. She is perfecting her crawl, in the meantime she has learned how to scoot across the room on her bum. She loves being outside, especiall to watch the birds. At her last Dr. Appt. she was weighing 17.5 pounds and 27 in. in height, slowing down into her genes, the dr. said as he looked at me and made a wise crack about my height. We wondered where that tall baby came from. And that is that for 9 months.

mothers day weekend
My parents flew in this past weekend to get some good Chloe time. And that they did! We spent the better part of the weekend just watching and playing with Chloe. She LOVED all the attention. I think she went through a few withdrawals the days after they left.
Then for mothers day we went to lunch with Jeremy's parents. It was fun to spend it with my parents and Jeremy's. Altogether it was a beautiful and relaxing day.

photo shoot
A couple of weeks ago Chloe and I went to the photo studio of our very talented friend to get some pictures taken. Check them out on her blog. Chloe had just woken up from a nap and it seemed like she was either in a blank-just-waking-up stare or crying. I was very surprised she got any good pictures, but she did, they are awesome!! Thanks Sara you're awesome!

lightening strikes
Jeremy came home from work yesterday and casually tells me his plane was stuck by lightening. Usually I don't get to hear these "cool" stories. Some times I'll overhear a part of some crazy story as Jeremy is telling a friend or his dad, but he doesn't tell me. I think I am really glad he doesn't tell me the "cool" stories! It took a sleepless night and lot of praying to just get me through the lightening strike. I am glad God is in control!
