big mess

I have heard stories of newborn boys and how you have to be careful and quick when changing their diaper because they like to squirt. Well Chloe has discovered a similar new game . She will poop as soon as you take her diaper off and not just poop but shooting poop. Seriously is shoots out across the room. It was funny at first, now it seems like she enjoys it way to much. I see why so many people recommend getting at least two diaper changing covers. I need at least 5 with this little girl.

You can't really see it, but if you look close there is poop on the wall across from the changing table. She has got good distance! I told you she really shoots.

Daddy's girl

We are all doing good, still tired. We had another great night sleep the other day (two 4hour stretches!!). Last night she was a hungry little girl feeding every two hours. Jeremy was supposed to go back to work yesterday, but they took the flight off of his schedule for training. We were both so thankful, especially since the flight included an overnight in Canada (expensive for us to talk). I still can't imagine going through one of our crazy nights without him. It has been a life saver to pass Chloe on to Jeremy after I have been nursing and then trying to get Chloe to sleep for and hour and a half or so and I can't keep my eyes open. Well Jeremy's next flight is September 3rd. So pray for us!! His schedule this month only consists of two day trips, which means he is just gone the night in between. At least there are no 4 day trips!

update

Things are still going well, if you can count no sleep doing well. We had a Dr. appt on Wednesday and Chloe is doing great. Then on Thursday we had a follow up appt with a lactation specialist. They weigh Chloe before I feed her and then after to see how much milk she is getting. Chloe and I both passed the breastfeeding test! Other then that we have just been trying to get used to our new schedule. She sleeps very soundly during the day, feeding every two hours. Then she is wide awake during our prebaby bedtime and usually falls to sleep between 11pm-1am. Thank goodness the Olympics are on so late in our time zone! Then she wakes anywhere between 2-4 hours for feeding. 4hours has only happened once and it was an awesome night!!

Chloe

This is going to be a short one. It is amazing how fast days go when there is a new born involved. Every one is asking for more pictures so that is my one item on my to do list I am going to cross off today. Every thing is still going good, just adjusting to little sleep, feeding every 2-3 hours, and breast feeding . Today we got out and took our first family walk. It has been almost a week for me since I have been outside. It felt amazing! More later.. enjoy the pictures.

almost done waiting

We had another Dr. appointment today. So the latest is that I was dilated enough for the Dr. to strip my membranes (it is as painful as it sounds) to try and get some contractions going. I was starting to show beginning signs of preclampsia. All indications that we feel we should go ahead with the induction tonight. So tonight we will go into the hospital at 8pm where they will put some hormonal substance (I think prostatgladin E-2) on my cervix to get the dilation going. They will try this several times throughout the night. If none of this helps they will either break my water or put me on pitocin, depending on my dilation. So with all that said by the end of Tuesday we should be holding our baby!! She didn't want to come out for Grandpa Raws' birthday, or 8/8/08, but maybe she'll make it for Travis' birthday. I am not looking forward to spending the night in the hospital tonight but we are definitely ready to meet our baby girl!! Pray for us!

and waiting...

Today we had a stress test at the hospital to check on the baby. They said baby sounds great and so do I. This test was in preparation for our induction that will happen on Monday. We are praying she does something before that. Well that is all the news so far.

Oh yeah, we got our first corn today from Jeremy's garden! Very tasty! Just some excitement during all of our waiting.

still waiting

Well our due date of the 4th has come and gone. Things are progressing good according to our doctor, just no dilation yet. My parents (Sarah's) arrived from New Mexico on Saturday. So we are all just hanging out waiting for this little girl to make an appearance. Yesterday we tried the whole get far away from home and take a very long walk idea. Didn't to much except give me a sunburn and tired feet.

Here are some pictures from Estes park. Bailey enjoyed it very much too!

Jeremy's pride and joy

We are still just waiting for baby! Thought I would share some pictures of Jeremy's summer project that he is completely obsessed with, his garden. So far we have gotten tomatoes with tons more coming. The corn and cucumbers should be ready soon. He has also got watermelon, onions, lettuce, and green beans.
