First Hike

We have been having unbelievable weather here in Colorado, 69 degrees one day then 71 the next. So crazy for January but we decided to enjoy it with a little hike. We took a drive to the foothills and it actually got so hot we were in short sleeves but ironically we had to cut our hike short when the path went into shade and got too icy. It was beautiful but just made me wish summer was already here.

First food

Chloe got her first bite of rice cereal the other day. She loved it! She has been showing a lot of interest when we eat, she gets so excited and tries to grab our food so we thought it was time. Every day since she gets a little rice cereal. It still amazes me how big she is getting.

5 months

our little hike at Keswick

Here we are at 5 months already. It was a busy month with the holidays and all. Chloe continues to grow like crazy coming in around 15 pounds now. It seems like see is growing the most in personality though. She likes to study her surroundings. She loves to watch bailey and laughs at her especially when bailey begs for food. If there are new things to see or people talking she has got to be awake and take it all in. No more sleeping through our morning walks she loves to be in the baby backpack to see all the sights. We have finally transitioned her to her crib in her room at night. Only one rough night and she went back to her 8-9 hours. She is such a good little girl!

my birthday

My 29th birthday has come and gone. Jeremy's mom babysat for us so we could go out to see Marley and me and then out to dinner. We enjoyed the movie so much we decided to skip dinner and see another movie. So 5 hours and a huge tub of movie popcorn for dinner we had our first date in a long while. It was fun! Thanks Grammy!

Christmas in New Jersey

We spent 8 days at America's Keswick with Jeremy's family for Christmas. It was so good to see everybody and to be with Jeremy's grandmother. First off Keswick is beautiful and has so many fun things to do on the property. We did lots of visiting in between baking Norwegian goodies and getting Jeremy's Grandmother's house ready for Christmas. The Dickinson clan has grown a lot since the last time we were all together so it was crazy fun at times. Christmas Eve we had a big dinner with family and opened some presents. Christmas day started earlier with more presents (opening presents is so fun with kiddos!) and then off to church. I should mention that Keswick, among other things, is a rehabilitation from addiction center . The rest of our day was spent with men from this program. We went for a little hike, then a few of the guys joined us for chatting and desserts. I have been to Keswick before and am always amazed and what God is doing there and the legacy that Jeremy's family has there ( his great great grandfather founded), but I have never talked with the men before and heard the stories from their mouths. it was such an amazing privilege. My heart goes out to all of them and it so exciting to hear what God has done and is doing in their lives.

I didn't get my act together in time to send Christmas cards so here is my version of one. We are getting ready to take off to New Jersey to spend Christmas with Jeremy's family. Hope you all have a very merry Christmas!

Jeremy's new career

modeling!? I think he's pretty cute but not exactly. Our church sends out postcards for every new series they do and Jeremy was asked to do this one. It will go out to 35,000 homes. Kinda cool!
